Backend, Cloud & DevOps

Cloud, DevOps & backend development services

Cloud and DevOps services for products that need to stay fast, secure, and available. We set up or migrate infrastructure on AWS, automate deployments with CI/CD, and build the APIs and backends that run on it, with monitoring and sensible cloud costs.

Technologies we use

  • Python
  • FastAPI
  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • Redis
  • AWS
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • Terraform
  • GitHub Actions
  • Reliable releases
  • Predictable cloud costs
  • Room to grow

The backend is where most products quietly break

Slow APIs, manual deployments, and servers nobody fully understands are common reasons products stall once real users arrive. Releases become risky, outages are reported by customers before anyone on the team notices, and the cloud bill grows every month without a clear reason.

Our cloud and DevOps services treat the backend and the infrastructure as one system. We design clear APIs and data models, define the infrastructure as code, and automate testing and deployment, so shipping becomes a routine, low-risk event.

Whether the backend powers a custom web application, a mobile app, or an AI product, the goal is the same: it stays fast, secure, and affordable as usage grows.

Fit check

Do you need cloud and DevOps help?

A good fit when

  • Releases are manual, and someone has to log into a server to deploy
  • Your AWS bill keeps growing, and nobody can explain what each line is for
  • You hear about outages from customers instead of from alerts
  • The backend slows down as real traffic and data grow
  • You are moving from a single server or shared hosting to the cloud

Not the right time yet when

  • You are still testing the idea, and a managed platform already covers what you need
  • Your site is mostly content, which a WordPress setup or static hosting handles well
  • You want Kubernetes because it is popular, not because your traffic needs it
  • No one will own the setup afterwards, and you don't want ongoing support either
Use cases

Common cloud and DevOps projects

01

AWS cloud migration

Move your app from a single server, shared hosting, or another provider to AWS. The new setup is built and tested in staging first, then switched over with a rollback plan.

What we need from you: Access to the current servers, a list of services and databases, and an agreed switch-over window.

02

CI/CD pipeline setup

Every code change is tested and deployed automatically, with separate staging and production environments, so releases happen often and can be rolled back quickly.

What we need from you: Repository access and a walkthrough of how you release today.

03

AWS cost optimization

Find what you pay for but don't need: oversized servers, idle resources, missing savings plans, and costly data transfer, then fix it without hurting performance.

What we need from you: Read-only access to billing and resources in your AWS account.

04

Docker and Kubernetes

Package services in containers so they run the same everywhere, then run them on AWS ECS or Kubernetes, whichever fits your scale and team.

What we need from you: Your services, how they talk to each other, and your expected traffic.

05

API and backend development

REST or GraphQL APIs with authentication, background jobs, file storage, and payment or third-party integrations, built to be documented and versioned.

What we need from you: The features the API must support and the systems it connects to.

06

Monitoring and alerting

Logs, metrics, uptime checks, and alerts that reach the right person, plus short runbooks so common issues are fixed fast.

What we need from you: What must never go down, and who should be alerted when it does.

Capabilities

Key capabilities

01

API & backend engineering

Well-documented, versioned APIs with authentication, rate limiting, and background jobs built in from the start.

02

Cloud architecture

Infrastructure sized for your real traffic, with security, backups, and scaling planned rather than patched in later.

03

DevOps & CI/CD

Automated build, test, and deploy pipelines with staging environments, so releases happen often and safely.

04

Infrastructure as code

Every environment defined in Terraform and kept in your repository, so changes are reviewed like code and setups can be rebuilt on demand.

05

Security & access

Least-privilege access, secrets kept out of code, encrypted data, and tested backups, all inside your own cloud account.

06

Observability & reliability

Logs, metrics, and alerts that show problems before your users report them, plus runbooks for when they do.

Process

How we deliver

Every project moves through the same clear steps, so you always know what is happening next.

  1. 01

    System review

We map your current services, data, and infrastructure, and where they fall short.

  2. 02

    Architecture design

API contracts, data models, and cloud setup are agreed before any build starts.

  3. 03

    Build & automate

Services are built alongside the pipelines and infrastructure code that deploy them.

  4. 04

    Load & security testing

Performance, failure, and security checks run before production traffic arrives.

  5. 05

    Operate & optimize

Monitoring, incident support, and ongoing tuning of performance and cloud spend.

Getting started

Ways to start with cloud and DevOps

Start small and only go further when the results justify it. Eligible projects start with a free 15-day MVP.

  1. 1

    Infrastructure review

We review your cloud setup, deployments, costs, and security, and give you a prioritized list of fixes with the reason behind each one.

  2. 2

    Fixed-scope project

One defined piece of work, such as a CI/CD pipeline, an AWS migration, or a new API, with a clear scope and estimate up front.

  3. 3

Backend as part of your product

We build the backend and infrastructure as part of a larger product, alongside your own developers if you have them.

  4. 4

    Ongoing DevOps support

Monitoring, updates, cost reviews, and help when something breaks, for systems we built or ones you already run.

Benefits

What you get

Reliable releases

Automated pipelines replace risky manual deployments.

Predictable cloud costs

Right-sized infrastructure without paying for capacity you don't use.

Room to grow

Systems that scale with users and data without a rewrite.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about our Backend, Cloud & DevOps services, cost, and how projects start.

How much do cloud and DevOps services cost?

It depends on the size of your setup and what needs fixing. We start with a review, then share a scoped estimate for each piece of work, so you can do the most important parts first. There is no long lock-in, and eligible projects start with a free 15-day MVP.

Can you migrate our application to AWS?

Yes. We plan the migration, rebuild the setup in a staging environment, test it, and then switch over with minimal downtime and a rollback plan in case anything goes wrong.

Can you reduce our AWS bill?

Usually, yes. We review what you are paying for, right-size servers and databases, remove idle resources, add caching, and use savings plans where they fit. How much you save depends on the current setup.

Do we need Kubernetes?

Not always. Many products run well on simpler setups such as AWS ECS or a few containers. We recommend the simplest setup that handles your traffic and team, and move to Kubernetes only when it pays off.

Can you fix a slow backend or API?

Yes. We find the slow endpoints and database queries, add indexes and caching where they help, and move heavy work to background jobs. Every fix is measured before and after, so you can see the difference.

Can you build the backend for our AI features?

Yes. AI features need APIs, queues, vector databases, and cost controls around model calls. We build that layer for generative AI applications and machine learning models.

Who owns the infrastructure and the access?

You do. Everything runs in your own cloud account and is defined as code in your repository. Credentials stay with you, and when the work ends, access is handed back with documentation.

Do you provide ongoing DevOps support?

Yes. After launch we can handle monitoring, incident support, security updates, and regular cost reviews.

Which backend technologies do you use?

Mostly Python with FastAPI and Node.js, with PostgreSQL and Redis. If you already have a backend in another stack, we work within it where that makes sense.
